23 October 2019

In October, the American Cancer Society runs a campaign called ‘Real Men Wear Pink’. Across North America, they select distinguished groups of men to represent their city. Teams then compete to fundraise for breast cancer awareness, research, and patient support. Our very own Axiom CEO, Mike Ballas, is representing Philadelphia for the second year in a row – and he’s already raised over $5,000.

Across The Creative Engagement Group family, we wanted to show our support from our global offices by donning our magenta mules, fuchsia flares and hot pink ponchos to help raise money for life-changing research. In the US, the teams are wearing pink every Friday this October to support, and in UK, the teams joined the UK-based ‘Wear it Pink’ campaign for Breast Cancer Now on the 18 October.

Our Manchester office held a Pink Pot Luck Lunch, our Plymouth office ran a bake sale, and the competitive minds from across the offices also entered our very own ‘Guess it Pink’
competition, with a generous prize donation from Experience Days.

Breast cancer affects everyone. Whether our own personal experiences, that of friends, family, or colleagues, it’s a disease that does not escape our attention. At The Creative Engagement Group, the patient is at the heart of many of our healthcare events, experiences and training materials. Within Axiom, as a healthcare communications team we’re passionate about supporting patients, raising awareness and driving life-changing
research – so supporting this cause across the business and in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month was a no brainer.

Thank you to the teams in all our offices and to Huntsworth and Experience Days for all your support and contributions.
